From what I see in the commissions so far, all I ask is for Optimus, a standard Vehicon, Incecticons, and each characters respective weapons and vehicle forms to be put up for commission.

Also, $20 for Thunderwing and est. $15 for Soundwave?! Granted Thunderwing's a big guy, and Soundwave's pretty popular, but isn't the price a bit high?

I know a guy who used to make custom models for people for $8. He doesn't do them anymore, but he was popular with it.

Ha, and the models are all skewed when I rip them with no textures. So initially I am not ripping the intellectual property on the rip. I have to find the texture separately in a different process altogether.
When I re-adjust the model it isn't the exactly the same dimensions of the one from the game.
Look at all the variant textures that exist on sonic. -not the same character.
One could argue the ripped characters are 'based' on the game models -which are also not the original models by the original company that exist in 3dsmax or Blender form, etc.

interesting path, just hope it not violate any copyright laws related to game rips on the commercial factor, but do understand the reasoning since personally model extraction is not an easy process.  wish you luck on the factor.

It's a service...and if you own the game already, don't you own all the models therein?

yes and no... the digital copyright law made things so complicated so i tend to save myself headache by avoided any financial gain related to game rips, period, since it the top reason all that enforcement is taking place (though for obsolete games it not make sense sometimes).  It's the financial gain was youtube recent changes by slipping on the ads part that can catch one person with the stupid bots so far. Edited game rips hit a gray area since it a mix one custom work and the original rip. another factor is how accurate the game rip to the company's original model.  it very complicated to the point i give me Migraines.  Simply put, once any financial gain if acquired for a company's copyrighted item, it acts as a red flag, if lucky a cease actions take place, unlucky... fines...  DOA models early on suffered that problem i recall before team ninja changed staff around.

:iconpocket-p: AKA :iconpocket-p: was one of the MMD experts on the matter.  I kept his last readme that I posted on the following post.

My link give the rules i operate mostly on game rips, combined with personal experience, it far easier to get compensated with models, art trades, or help, or just give it away free under a NO Commercial use rule then money since it what they like to target.

You have to remember I'm not 100% on the matter since the law change so much and there a LOT of debate in The MMD community still on game rips, even i not updated on the matter.  I just keep it simple, to cut down trouble, just don't ask money for game rips unless you make it your self from the bottom up is the path i chose since i have enough headaches to deal with.

This is a copy of the copyright basics i know to try to follow off:

"Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use."

NON-Profit is what i find easiest... but with the digital copyright changing... it debated still.

Sorry I not the best expert on the matter, just not want you get in trouble by crossing the non-profit to profit line.

Bullocks to all that.

Everything is copyrighted right down to seeds.

If the Trans-Pacific Partnership passes  -any site having ANY copyrighted material can be shutdown at the behest of intellectual property holder. We are talking anything, icons, avatars, you name it.

Let them come after me. A man with nothing to lose only has something to gain.

Sad but true, why SOPA fell cause of that thomas crapper.

And great reward comes come from great risk.  It why i hope you not get harmed on the matter.  It a abrilliant idea, but defiantly not a risk i ready to take.  sometimes i wish the debate was over but it still going.

As your friend, most i can do atleast provide info and help when i can.  It why i wish luck on the matter, in several points on the copyright law... still give me a headache trying to makes sense (still think they bribed the congress on it)
